After Bastei Lübbe opulently celebrated “50 years of John Sinclair” last year, Lübbe Audio is now bringing a very special listening experience to the audio market: the John Sinclair audio play “”Der Anfang” – in 3D! The original, based on Jason Dark’s first Sinclair story “Die Nacht des Hexers”, was produced by Oliver Döring in 2002. Erik Gierich mixed the 3D version in Dieter Krauthausen’s studios, where Marius Müller-Westernhagen’s “”Das Pfefferminz Experiment” was also produced. “Thanks to the innovative Dolby Atmos® technology, the result is a three-dimensional listening experience that allows listeners to experience the radio play in a completely new way,” explains Stephanie Mende, Publishing Director at Lübbe Audio. The Blu-Ray disc will be available in selected stores from May 10,

“The listener feels as if they are right in the middle of the action. It’s cinema for the ears,” says Dieter Krauthausen about the new version of the classic audio drama. And John Sinclair will be heading to the cinema in 2024: the tour begins on Sunday, May 5, in Hanover and Stuttgart. Berlin, Bochum, Frankfurt, Cologne and Nuremberg will follow a day later, followed by Hamburg on May 7.
